Recently I flew up to Sydney for 2 weeks to join the team at Spinifex Group. I came in to help with some of the compositing for the celebrations of Moscow’s collapse of Communism sponsored by Alpha Bank. According to the Guinness Book of Records it's the largest ever 3D mapping surface area covering 25,500 square meters, equivalent to 5 football fields. The content itself was nine times the resolution of HD (1920X1080) which was a bitch to work with and render. The final image was projected onto the main building of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The resolutions were massive and the deadlines tight. All in all a fairly stress filled experience really. Not sure what it communicates but it looks pretty cool.
